Early retirement
An early old-age pension can be claimed before the retirement age is reached, with a permanent reduction for every month short of it. The law states no separate minimum age for this route.
No separately stated minimum age
Unlike some neighbouring systems, 38. člen ZPIZ-2 states no minimum age of its own for early retirement. Instead, the reduction is priced for every month short of YOUR OWN age under the transition table on the retirement-age page — the earlier the claim, the longer the period the reduction is calculated over. You also need at least 15 years of insurance service, the same as for the ordinary pension.
The reduction — and why it is permanent
Currently (for pensions awarded in 2026 or 2027) the reduction is 0,3 % for every month short. The reduction is permanent — the law provides for no later removal or recalculation without it, unlike some neighbouring systems.
No provision was found stating a direct ceiling on the total reduction — 38. člen states only the monthly rate.
