NetoPlača is a net-pay calculator for Slovenia, for anyone working here or weighing up a move.

What NetoPlača is
NetoPlača is a net-pay calculator for Slovenia. It is for anyone who works here or is weighing up a move — so that, before you sign a contract, you can see how much of a gross salary actually reaches your account, and where each euro goes along the way. It models standard employment (delovno razmerje) for the 2026 tax year: the social-security contributions, the five-band progressive income tax, the income-tapered general allowance, the allowances for dependent family members, and the flat compulsory health contribution that is taken from the net.
The one thing we do differently
Most Slovenian calculators stop at the net pay (neto plača). But the figure that actually lands in your account is a step further down: the net less the flat compulsory health contribution, the amount transferred to your account (izplačilo na TRR). As a mandatory contribution the OZP reduces the income-tax base, but on the payslip it appears as a deduction after the net-pay line, so conflating the two overstates what you take home. We show both figures, clearly labelled, so the flat deduction is never silently folded in or dropped.
Our promise: honest figures
No number here is invented. Every rate and amount is meant to trace to an official source, and the calculator reads its figures from one central data file rather than hard-coding them into the pages — so a corrected value updates everywhere at once. Anything we could not confirm from a primary source is left out or clearly hedged rather than dressed up as settled. Where a value has not yet been confirmed against a primary source — the special-care child allowance, the exact 2026 minimum contribution base, the January–February health contribution — we say so on the page instead of presenting it as fact, and where a provision has been withdrawn, such as the old over-70 allowance, we do not model it at all.
Methodology and sources
The calculation follows the primary and authoritative Slovenian sources for salaried pay:
- FURS (Finančna uprava RS) — income tax, the general allowance and the dependent-member allowances.
- Uradni list RS — the official gazette: the tax-scale rules and the minimum-wage decree.
- ZZZS — the health insurance institute: the compulsory health contribution and long-term care.
- SURS (Statistični urad RS) — the average wage that anchors the thresholds and the tax-free ceilings.
The sourcing this site rests on was last checked: July 2026. Each value carries its source and the date it was last checked.

Disclaimer
The results are for information. NetoPlača is an informational calculator, not tax advice — it does not replace a tax adviser or the relevant authority, and for an official calculation you should turn to them. The figures follow the official sources cited on each page, and the notice at the foot of every page states that a recent change may not be reflected yet and that nothing here has been through our final sign-off. It has no account, sign-up or form. Google Analytics 4 runs on every page, cookielessly — storage on your device is denied by default for every visitor and there is no consent banner here that could change that — though Google still receives the page address, the referrer, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and your device and browser type on every visit.
